Western Environmental Law Update

WELU is an annual publication of short articles detailing recent developments in environmental and natural resource law and their effect on the West. The pieces are all student written and may be written specifically for WELU or adopted from papers required in one of Oregon's many Environment and Natural Resources (ENR) classes, such as Professor Wood's Public Lands Law course.
WELU is currently accepting submissions for this year's issue. Articles should focus on pertinent, timely, legal issues affecting the environment on a local, regional, or international level. WELU has a mixed audience consisting of the general public, law students, environmental activists and attorneys. Be aware of this diverse audience as you prepare your submission. Do not hesitate to address complex ideas and topics, but explain them in a deliberate and clear fashion.
The submission should be between 1000 and 1500 words long. Citation format should follow either the Blue Book or ALWD Citation Manual and should be located in the body of your text, rather than in footnotes.
